Nicky's Numbers
Last updated: March 2026
This is a personal hobby site, not a business. I take your privacy seriously anyway. This page explains what data the site collects, why, and what you can do about it. Written in plain language because legal jargon helps nobody.
Very little. When you search for a number, the search query is logged along with a hashed version of your IP address. We never store your actual IP address. The hash is a one-way scramble that can't be reversed back into your real IP. This logging helps us understand which numbers people are looking for so we can prioritize new content.
A session cookie is set to keep the site functioning. It contains no personal information and expires after 30 days of inactivity.
When you register, we collect your email address and a password. Your password is hashed using bcrypt and is never stored in plain text. We cannot see your password and cannot recover it. If you forget it, you reset it.
If you choose to build your numerology chart, you provide your date of birth and birth name. This information is used to calculate your numerology numbers, zodiac signs, and gematria values. The calculated results are cached in your profile so we don't have to recalculate them every time you visit.
Other data you create on the site is stored in your account:
Journal entries you write, numbers you save, sighting logs you record, and search queries you make while logged in. This data exists so the site can work for you. It is not shared, sold, or used for anything else.
We do not store raw IP addresses. We do not collect your location. We do not track you across other websites. We do not run analytics or tracking scripts. We do not use third-party advertising. We do not sell, share, or give your data to anyone.
The site uses a single session cookie to keep you logged in and to maintain basic functionality. That's it. No tracking cookies, no advertising cookies, no third-party cookies. If third-party services are added in the future (such as analytics or advertising), this policy will be updated and you will be notified.
The site is served over HTTPS, which encrypts data in transit between your browser and the server. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. IP addresses are hashed with SHA-256 and a private salt before storage. Session tokens are generated using cryptographically secure methods.
No system is perfectly secure. This is a hobby project hosted on shared hosting, not a bank. I take reasonable precautions but cannot guarantee absolute security. Please don't reuse a password you use for important accounts.
You have full control over your data. From your account settings you can:
Download your data
Export everything we have about you as a JSON file. Your profile, chart, saved numbers, sightings, journal entries, and search history. The export contains your personal data only, not site content.
Delete your account
Request account deletion from your privacy settings. There is a 30-day grace period in case you change your mind. After 30 days, your personal data is permanently removed. Some anonymized data (like sighting counts and search logs with no user attached) may remain for site functionality.
These rights are available to all users regardless of where you live. You don't need to be in California or Europe to control your data. It's just the right thing to do.
If you're a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act. You have the right to know what data is collected, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. The data export and deletion tools described above fulfill these requirements. If you have questions, reach out on the contact page.
This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will remove it.
If this policy changes in any meaningful way, the "last updated" date at the top will reflect that. For significant changes (like adding analytics or advertising), a notice will be posted on the site.
If you have questions about your privacy or your data, reach out on the contact page.
