About the Ciphers
Ordinal
The simplest cipher. Each letter is assigned its position in the alphabet: A=1 through Z=26.
Reduction
Also known as Pythagorean. Letters cycle through values 1-9, reducing each position to a single digit.
Reverse Ordinal
The alphabet reversed: A=26, B=25, down to Z=1. Reveals the mirror value of a word.
Reverse Reduction
The reverse ordinal values reduced to single digits (1-9). The mirror of the Pythagorean cipher.
English
Based on the old 24-letter English alphabet. Each letter equals its position multiplied by 6: A=6, B=12, through Z=156.
Jewish
The Hebrew gematria system mapped to English letters. Values follow the pattern of units (1-9), tens (10-90), and hundreds (100+).
